Som jag tidigre skrev är det hög tid för arbete under huven, att bara försöka starta motorn vore kul. Jag har därför börjat kolla på tänddelar och bensintillförselns komponenter. En ny bensinpump finns och förgasaren verkar ok. Hur tanken ser ut inuti är fortfarande okänt, det får vara så ett tag till. Fördelaren med vacumklocka är av senare modell än 1959 så den vill jag byta och det mesta av tändstift, tändkablar, rotor, fördelarlock mm har jag. Tändspolen bjöd på en lite tråkig överraskning, själva kragen är trasig, har man tur påverkar det inte funktionen men det skulle inte förvåna om tändspolen måste bytas. Ska man se det positivt så kan det vara bra för en gammal bil att få en ny spole.

As I previously wrote, it is time for some work under the hood, just trying to start the engine would be fun. I have therefore started checking the ignition parts and the fuel supply components. There is a new fuel pump and the carburettor seems ok. What the tank looks like inside is still unknown, it may be like that for a while. The distributor with vacuum clock is of a later model than 1959, so I want to change it and I have most of the spark plugs, ignition cables, rotor, distributor cap, etc. The ignition coil offered a bit of a sad surprise, the collar itself is broken, if you're lucky it doesn't affect the function but it wouldn't surprise if the ignition coil has to be replaced. If you look at it positively, it can be good for an old car to get a new coil.
